Hello, I'm Bowen!
This journey of mine ultimately started when I became pregnant with my first child in 2021. Once I found out that I was going to have a girl, I knew I had to learn how to make baby bows because I wanted a huge collection of them and was too cheap to buy a bunch, lol.
Though I have a Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!), my partner and I decided that I would be a stay at home mom. As a result of our decision, I wanted to find a way to create another source of income within our family (and I needed a way to stay busy outside of motherhood). After I watched countless videos and finally learned how to make baby bows, I decided to open up my business, Bowen Arrow Co. and sell my creations.
Once I had my daughter, I realized that I was getting bored too quickly with the monotony of making bows over and over again so I needed to expand my abilities. After the pandemic, I was pretty involved in the app Tik Tok and I stumbled across the amazing world of customizable drinking tumblers. I eventually ended up with all the supplies and a whole new world of friends within the crafting community and started to make and sell tumblers, pens, and t-shirts.
In 2023, I became pregnant with another girl. We were living in a fifth wheel on the road, due to my partner's job, and my crafting space quickly became an afterthought once we knew we needed more room for our girls, so I closed up my shop.
Here we are in 2024 and I knew I needed to find a new way to stay busy, whilst taking care of our children full time. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what I could potentially make or sell that wasn't in a saturated field. Finally, I came up with the plan to open an online boutique that sells Children's accessories, solely. You always see shops that carry kids' clothes, shoes, and accessories, but how often do you come across one that is independently focused on everything else outside of clothing and shoes? I will gradually add all types of crafty items, as well, so if there is ever anything you don't see on my website and would like to, shoot me a message!
